BiographyDanger Mouse is an artist and producer who defies labeling.his first album Danger Mouse & Jemini‘s Ghetto Pop Life, which SPIN called "a remarkable debut” and URB called "an instant classic" featured Tha Alkaholiks, The Pharcyde and Cee-Lo.
Not long after, Danger Mouse gained unprecedented notoriety after producing his infamous Grey Album, a unique work touted as one of the most intriguing productions of all time, an album that forever raised the bar on hip hop experimentalism, dubbed a 'bootleg masterpiece' by GQ. With one million illegal downloads in one day and the ensuing legal battles between major record companies and copyright advocates, the Grey Album is considered a watershed moment in music history. He started working with Damon Albarn to produce Gorillaz massive Demon Days album, featuring De La Soul , MF DOOM, Ike Turner, Shaun Ryderand Dennis Hopper. The chart topping album, which Mojo calls "an aural phantasmagoria...” had a number #6 U.S. Billboard chart debut, a #1 debut in the U.K., France, Switzerland and Hong Kong as well as Top 5 debuts in Argentina, Canada, Denmark, Italy, Germany and Japan. Next up is DANGERDOOM, Danger Mouse’s collaborative debut album with MF DOOM, one of hip hop’s most acclaimed and original MCs. The album, titled The Mouse and The Mask, is a joint release by Epitaph Records and Adult Swim, Cartoon Network's popular late-night animation network. The album features Ghostface Killah, Talib Kweli and Cee-Lo, as well as appearances by characters from Adult Swim's most popular original shows, including Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Sealab 2021 and Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law. 2006 saw the release of Gnarls Barkley, Danger Mouse’s collaboration with Cee-Lo, the flamboyant, one-of-a-kind force of nature and founding member of Goodie Mob, one of the leading Dirty South super groups notching up Grammy awards and platinum sales. As if that wasn't enough, he's recently produced The Good, The Bad and The Queen another hit album. Albeit very rare, Danger Mouse has provided remixes for an array of artists including Super Furry Animals, Bright Eyes, Zero 7 and Dinah Washington for the critically acclaimed Verve III remix album. Danger Mouse has been honored as one of GQ Magazine’s ‘Men of the Year’ (alongside Kanye West); named “Eccentric Genius of the Year” by SPIN; hailed as "The Hottest Hip-Hop Producer in the World" by NME, honored with Entertainment Weekly’s Album of the Year and added to QMagazine’s "Industry's 100 Most Influential People" list.
